“The Purpose of Poetry” with Pulpit Guest Lynn Ungar
Poetry and religion are nice and all, but what are the for? And what might they have in common?
Our speaker, Rev. Dr. Lynn Ungar, is a UU minister and a poet whose work has been shared widely, including her poem “Pandemic” which went viral in March of 2020. She is also one of the moderators of the popular UU Hysterical Society Facebook group. She lives in Vancouver, Washington with her three Australian shepherds.
Our Worship Services are weekly reflections weaving together our own thoughts and experiences with music, beauty, poetry, and words that both comfort and challenge. Our programs for all ages inspire us, and awaken us to our capacities to make a difference in our own lives and in the world.
