There is something awe-inspiring about AI, but also something unpredictable and a little intimidating as well.  Whatever you think about data centers or “slop” images, it looks like the “noosphere” of the Super Mind is here to stay. We have a chance, right now, to establish approaches and address this new frontier of capability and intelligence in ethical ways that benefit our world and our growth as a species.  How will our Unitarian Universalist understandings of interdependence, transformation, and justice help us to avoid the kind of mistakes we made with our “biosphere”– with the original “interconnected web” of our existence?  How will  awareness of our responsibility and our inner sense of right and wrong help us make good decisions at this crucial time?
