This year’s July 4^th holiday celebrates 250 years since the adoption of the United States Declaration of Independence, the representation of many of our highest democratic ideals. Ours is the oldest written national framework of government in the world, drafted by men who imagined it would change alongside the population it served. But this document hasn’t been meaningfully amended in over 50 years. What are transformational, democratically minded people called to do in this time?
