Event Series Event Series: Sunday Service

Wil’s talk will go over definitions of “Secularism” and “Humanism” and how they intersect (or don’t) with religion. He will spend time on the overlap of all those worlds and how that interfaith overlap can change our world, whether on an individual or societal level.

Wil Jeudy is an urgent care physician by day and a secular activist the rest of the time. He is the Texas director for American Atheists, chair of the American Atheists’ “Secular Advocacy Team,” and a leader within Houston Oasis and Houston Atheists. He formed the group Secular Houston to organize the secular political voice in the Greater Houston Area, endorse candidates that align with secular values, and teach constituents how and where to direct their energy to affect change through a secular prism.

Our Worship Services are weekly reflections weaving together our own thoughts and experiences with music, beauty, poetry, and words that both comfort and challenge. Our programs for all ages inspire us, and awaken us to our capacities to make a difference in our own lives and in the world.
