Little Altars Everywhere: UU Transcendentalism and Buddhist Awareness – Rev. Dan King

Event Series: Sunday Service

If we can be fully open to our senses- all six (?) of them- we may be inspired by our encounters with everyday objects, beings, and places to find greater meaning for our lives. Thoreau and Emerson wrote extensively on their “direct experience of the Divine in Nature.” Rev. Dan King returns to share reflections on how we can promote an awareness of an essence greater than ourselves.

Our Worship Services are weekly reflections weaving together our own thoughts and experiences with music, beauty, poetry, and words that both comfort and challenge. Our programs for all ages inspire us, and awaken us to our capacities to make a difference in our own lives and in the world.
