Interfaith Trans Power Vigil

Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston is hosting a trans power vigil at 3pm on April 24, 2022. The church is located at 1900 Bering Drive.

Our intentions are to honor our transcestors, bear witness to attacks on trans kids, and celebrate trans power. The vigil will center the voices of trans people of color who choose to participate. We want the event to be a nourishing time for LGBTQ+ folks of any spiritual or worldview background, including agnostics and atheists.

The vigil will be a policing-free zone. Emerson’s Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible and our restrooms are gender neutral. We will offer a comfort room for attendees who want some relative privacy or quiet during the event. For those who cannot make it in person, we will livestream. Livestream link to be shared with those who sign up: www.emersonhouston.org/vigil.

All ages welcome. Got questions? audrey@emersonhouston.org
