In 1991 photojournalist Richard Doughty began documenting daily life in the Gaza Strip, and in 1993-95 he collaborated with Palestinian sociologist Dr. Mohammed el-Aydi, Ph.D., to produce the book Gaza: Legacy of Occupation–A Photographer’s Journey. Their unique, photo-based series of interviews with residents of Rafah was later published in the Journal of Visual Sociology. Richard will present excerpts from their book and review current UU positions on the present genocide.
