Worship at Emerson is a multi-dimensional, multi-sensory experience that celebrates spiritual community and reminds us of what matters most in life.

Each Sunday is unique—from inspiring topics and thought-provoking dialogues to contemplative Taize and inspiring music-centered services.

Weaving together individual thoughts and experiences with new insights and challenging ideas, Emerson’s weekly worship services challenge each person to live with more wisdom, more connection, more compassion.

In addition to Sunday services, Emerson celebrates seasonal and special observances, including holidays, solstices and equinoxes.

Upcoming Sermon Series, Fall 2025

Nina Kuzniak (she/they) is a third-year seminarian at Starr King School for the Ministry. Her path to ministry was influenced by a heart for justice, community, and future-building. She feels particularly impacted by her studies on conflict resolution and moral injury. She is passionate about crafting meaningful liturgy that is comforting and catalyzing, and spends a lot of time thinking about how our spiritual community can grow to meet the many needs of the moment. Along with pursuing ministry, Nina has abundant experience in education and has overseen many programs that use federal funding to support educators and students. A Las Vegas native, she’s new to Houston and eager to hear your best recommendations for restaurants, bookstores, and coffee shops!
