This talk describes how biological and environmental experiences can cause a sense of separation, and how we can focus on common needs to encourage dialogue (non-violent communication) and develop mutual understanding. Finding this understanding is critical, as we are interdependent on this planet. As Martin Luther King says, “all mankind is tied together; all life is interrelated, and we are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
