Just in case you don’t know anything about Meetup, it is a social media website whose philosophy is “to use the internet to help people get off the internet.” It’s about helping people go places and do things. It’s easy–to get signed up, just go to meetup.com, put in your name and e-mail address and join the 500 Emerson Seekers.

Emerson’s Meetup will send you an email every time an exciting event is scheduled. It could be anything that Emerson members might find exciting. It could relate to adult education subjects, like Planned Parenthood or social justice. It could relate to musical events that are occurring at Emerson or at another UU church. It could be about Sunday morning events or Saturday night stuff.

How else would you be able to find out about the Steve Brooks concert Saturday, June 13 at Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church? He is hilarious and a great performer. The Northwoods church is in The Woodlands. Close enough for a delightful evening of fun.

If you want to know about all of the exciting happenings at Emerson and about what Emersonians are involved in you can sign up for Meetup for a convenient way to find out. Plus, if there is an event you want to share, this is a great venue.
