Support the health, safety, and voting rights of all Texans

An expansion of vote-by-mail would enable voters to participate in upcoming elections while mitigating risk of exposure. However, a plan for expansion needs to be implemented immediately so that the state and counties can be ready in time for elections this summer and fall. SAC is recommending you contact state leaders with your opinions about expanding vote-by-mail.

Talking Points for a call or Sample Letter in favor of Vote-by-Mail for All Texans

Dear            ,
Please support Vote by Mail for all Texans and begin implementation of this action plan immediately. Advisory guidance must be sent immediately to every county to allow all eligible voters to vote by mail in all upcoming elections.
Each registered voter should:
• receive a ballot in the mail with no need to apply.
• be able to check the status of that ballot to be confident it has been counted.
• have time to request, receive, and return a ballot by mail if one is not initially received.
Please take immediate action to ensure that all eligible Texans have safe and fair access to our elections during this coronavirus pandemic. Please let me know how I can help in these efforts.
Thank you for your leadership and for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
